Theres this sartist named mateo. I think he's really talented. His music isnt out there yet but from what i've heard its really good.
read about him:
Mateo is on a mission to make the world feel again. The singer drew from his own life experiences as well as those of the people around him to create an emotional undercurrent on his debut EP, Human.
“People don’t feel anything anymore. I want people to feel some type of emotion when they listen to my music. Whether that means empathizing with the song’s story or internalizing the lyrics and thinking of what the song means to their life.”Throughout Human, Mateo delivers effortlessly smooth vocals, an artistic element that distinguishes him from some of his contemporary counterparts. “Back in the day, it wasn’t about crazy runs. For example with Donny Hathaway, it was all about his voice and not the beat underneath it. R&B now is all about hollow hip-hop beats and simple melodies, there’s no cleverness to love songs anymore,” Mateo declares.
Comprised of a haunting melody that blends alternative with R&B, the track “Complicated” is indicative of Mateo’s signature sound. “My music is refreshing because it has an organic quality to it,” he explains. He cites artists like India Arie, John Mayer, Coldplay, and Keane as influences. “We’re in a time where music is fusing together. My music is where music is going right now.”
